Physiotherapy
As physiotherapists, our job is to accurately assess, diagnose and treat your musculoskeletal ailments. At Avalon Physiotherapy & Clinical Pilates we can partner with you to help you recover from injury, reduce pain levels, improve mobility, strength and flexibility. We can also aid the prevention of ongoing pain and dysfunction through the use of evidence based treatments which include exercise prescription and education.
A doctor’s referral is not necessary to see a physiotherapist, but we do often work closely with the local GP’s, other allied health providers and specialists in order to reach the best possible outcome.
At your first physiotherapy appointment you can expect:
- A 45 minute private appointment with a caring physiotherapist who will take the time to listen to your unique story.
- A thorough assessment, diagnosis and explanation of that diagnosis to help you understand the problem.
- A hands on treatment, which may include but not limited to joint mobilisations, soft tissue massage, dry needling and taping.
- A comprehensive home exercise program specific to your condition.
